MEMORY CARD
Every day from October 18, 2017 I was capturing my memories of the day in my smartphone by my finger. This work includes 364 days until October 16, 2018. Drawings that allow me to recall a day from the past are placed from above of the grate. Drawings of days that I cannot remember are placed under the grate on the floor inside the frame.

In my opinion, memory mechanisms work like a sand screen. Some days are sifted, and some remain on the surface. In this case I saw a resemblance to universal memory. The names of people who have influenced it remain in history, but most remain only as numbers in statistics. At the same time, one of the main permanent anxieties of a person is to forget and to be forgotten. For a long time throughout the history of mankind, tools for capturing memory were available only to elites, artists and writers. Today, thanks to technological advances, “ordinary” people have finally received tools that allow them to avoid oblivion. Every day, millions of people take selfies and upload photos of eaten sandwiches. In social networks, people constantly compete in the nominations: the most successful, the most beautiful, the most intelligent, the most creative and the like ...
But is it really so important to remember every day? Does the form of memory fixation, its aesthetics, influence the “value” of such memories? Will not we get a new type of environmental pollution and information space?
